Our little east facing Cabernet Franc vineyard amongst the gum trees held out beautifully in a dry season for a slow ripening and mid-April harvest. This complex little example was barrel fermented in French oak resulting in a deeply textured wine showing a wonderful dark peach colour, continuing this theme with delicate white peach on the palate.
The Cabernet Franc for this rosé was grown on our little estate amongst the gum trees. Work on improving berry set in the often difficult variety of Cabernet Franc paid off with lovely even ripening, while still maintaining a controlled yield of approximately 1.6 tonnes per acre.
